End-User License Agreement for PySslMonitor — SSL / TLS Certificate Monitor
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and payment of any applicable fees, ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
Free Tier: Licensed for indefinite personal and commercial use subject to its built-in feature restrictions (maximum of 3 concurrent monitored domains). No payment is required.
Pro License ($49 USD one-time): Permits one (1) named individual to install and use the full-featured Software on up to two (2) personally owned or controlled computers simultaneously.
Team License ($99 USD one-time): Permits installation on three (3) to five (5) machines within a single organizational entity. Intended for small teams and commercial deployment across multiple servers or workstations. Commercial use is permitted.
Enterprise License ($149 USD one-time): Permits unlimited concurrent installations within a single organizational entity (e.g., a company, department, or managed service environment). Includes priority email support.
You may not, under any circumstances:
The Software, including all source code, object code, algorithms, designs, user interfaces, documentation, and related materials, is the exclusive intellectual property of ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. and is protected by applicable copyright laws and international treaties.
This Agreement does not transfer or assign any ownership rights to you. You acquire only the limited right to use the Software as expressly set out in Section 2.
All trademarks, service marks, product names, and logos associated with the Software are the property of ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. Nothing in this Agreement grants you any rights to use these marks.
The Software is distributed as a Windows installer package (.exe or .msi). Installation requires you to accept this Agreement through the installer's EULA acceptance screen. Proceeding past that screen constitutes your binding acceptance of this Agreement.
Pro and Enterprise licenses are activated using a license key provided by ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. following purchase. The activation mechanism is fully offline — no internet connection is required after the license key is entered.
License keys are non-transferable and may not be shared, posted publicly, or distributed. ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. reserves the right to deactivate keys found to be used in violation of this Agreement.
ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. may, at its discretion, release updates, patches, or new versions of the Software. Updates are not guaranteed and are not included in the base license fee unless an active Maintenance & Support subscription is in place.
Maintenance & Support (Optional — $49 USD/year): An optional annual subscription entitles you to priority email support and free minor version upgrades (e.g., v1.x to v1.y) released during the subscription year. Major version upgrades (e.g., v1.x to v2.0) may be offered at a discounted upgrade price.
ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. reserves the right to alter the feature set of any tier in future versions, provided existing purchased features are not materially degraded without reasonable notice.
The Software is designed with a minimal-data philosophy. License activation is performed entirely offline using cryptographic key verification — no personal data is transmitted during activation. On application startup, the Software may send a small anonymous metadata payload (such as product name, version, operating system, approximate country, and license tier) to ArystoTech's first-party analytics service, if an internet connection is available. This call is non-blocking and will never affect application startup or functionality. No personal information — no name, email address, or file contents — is ever included. The Software performs outbound TLS handshakes to retrieve certificate metadata (expiry dates, subject names, issuer chains) from the domains you configure. No certificate data, private keys, or domain configurations are transmitted to ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. All monitoring data and alert history are stored entirely on your local machine.
Without limiting the foregoing, ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. does not warrant that:
Total Liability Cap: In all cases, the total cumulative liability of ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid for the Software license in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim; or (b) USD $10.00 if the Software was obtained under the Free Tier.
Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. may terminate this Agreement immediately, without notice, if you breach any material term of this Agreement, circumvent or attempt to circumvent the licensing or activation mechanisms, or use the Software in a manner that violates applicable law or causes harm to third parties.
You may terminate this Agreement at any time by uninstalling the Software and destroying all copies in your possession.
Effect of Termination: Upon termination, all rights granted to you immediately cease. Sections 4, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 14 survive termination.
Refunds: ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. does not offer refunds on digital software purchases once a license key has been issued and activated, except where required by applicable consumer protection laws.
You are solely responsible for the configuration, operation, and outcomes of all tasks, schedules, jobs, monitors, and automated processes you create using the Software. You must ensure that your use complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations, including:
You are solely responsible for ensuring that all domains and endpoints you monitor are domains you own, control, or have explicit written authorization to assess. Unauthorized SSL/TLS probing of third-party infrastructure may violate computer fraud laws in your jurisdiction. ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. expressly disclaims all liability for any unauthorized use of the Software against third-party infrastructure.
The Software may be subject to export control laws and regulations. You agree not to export, re-export, or transfer the Software to any country, individual, or entity in violation of applicable export control laws, including those of the country in which you are located.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If not resolved within thirty (30) days, the dispute shall be referred to binding arbitration under the rules of a recognized arbitration body in Alberta, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
Nothing in this Section limits either party's right to seek urgent injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.
Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. with respect to the Software and supersedes all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
Amendments: ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Updated versions will be made available on the ArystoTech website and will apply to future versions of the Software. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
Severability: If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver: Failure by ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision in the future.
No Third-Party Beneficiaries: This Agreement does not create any third-party beneficiary rights.
