Free Apps Terms and Conditions

1. Covered Software

These Terms apply to the free desktop software distributed by ArystoTech under the PySuperFreeApps suite, including bundled workflows branded as PyBulkRenamer, PyImageSquisher, PyImageConverter, PyJson2CsvConverter, PyJsonBeautifier, and PyLogExtractor, together with related installers, updates, documentation, and supplemental files we provide for those products.

2. Acceptance and Eligibility

You may use the Software only if you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement and, when acting for a company or organization, the authority to bind that entity. If you do not meet those requirements, do not use the Software.

3. Relationship to the EULA

Use of the Software is also governed by the Free Apps EULA. The EULA controls license scope, ownership, restrictions, disclaimer language, and termination rights specific to the Software. If these Terms and the EULA conflict, the EULA controls with respect to software licensing matters.

4. Official Distribution and Downloads

The Software may be distributed through official ArystoTech channels, including our website and our authorized GitHub release pages. We may change file names, hosting locations, packaging, or delivery methods at any time without notice.

• We do not guarantee that any particular release will remain available indefinitely.
• You are responsible for confirming that you obtained the Software from a source you trust.
• Links to official download pages may be shared, but redistribution of the installer or repackaging of the Software is prohibited unless we expressly permit it in writing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Software in any unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful manner. Without limitation, you must not:

• Use the Software to violate law, contract, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or the rights of others.
• Attempt to bypass technical controls, modify licensing behavior, or interfere with security features.
• Use the Software in a way that damages, disables, overloads, or disrupts our infrastructure, release channels, or related services.
• Use the Software to process data or systems you are not authorized to access.

6. User Responsibility for Data and Outputs

The Software may rename files, compress or convert images, render SVG assets, format JSON, extract log content, or generate derived output. You are solely responsible for the inputs you choose, the destinations you select, and the consequences of applying generated output.

• You should maintain backups of important files and validate outputs before using them in production or irreversible workflows.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process the files, images, logs, JSON, and other materials you use with the Software.
• You remain solely responsible for any downstream decisions made using output generated by the Software.

7. Updates, Support, and Availability

The Software is provided free of charge and may be changed, updated, suspended, or discontinued at any time. We are not obligated to provide support, maintenance, patches, updates, compatibility fixes, or continued hosting of any release unless we expressly state otherwise.

8. Third-Party Materials and External Services

The Software or our release pages may include, link to, or depend on third-party components, services, or websites. Third-party terms may apply to those materials, and we are not responsible for third-party products, hosting environments, or external websites.

9. No High-Risk or Safety-Critical Use

The Software is not designed, certified, or intended for use in life support, medical, aviation, transportation, nuclear, emergency response, legal compliance, or other high-risk environments where errors, delays, or failures could lead to death, personal injury, property damage, regulatory violations, or significant financial loss.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software and related materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, with all faults and without warranties, representations, conditions, or guarantees of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, title, quiet enjoyment, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, business opportunity, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to the Software or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Software or these Terms will not exceed the greater of CAD $10 or the amount you paid us directly for the specific Software giving rise to the claim during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Because the Software is generally provided at no charge, you acknowledge that this limitation reflects a reasonable allocation of risk.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

12. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ArystoTech Software & AI Systems Ltd. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and affiliates from and against claims, damages, liabilities, losses, judgments, settlements, penalties, fines, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or relating to your misuse of the Software, your violation of these Terms or the EULA, your infringement of another party's rights, or your unlawful processing of data or systems.

13. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your rights under these Terms and the EULA immediately if you breach them, create risk for us or others, misuse the Software, or act unlawfully. On termination, you must stop using the Software and destroy all copies in your possession or control, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

14. Governing Law and Forum

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any non-waivable rights under applicable law, you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Alberta, Canada for disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Software.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by publishing a revised version. The updated version becomes effective when posted unless a later effective date is stated. Your continued download, installation, or use of the Software after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
